Raven Symbolism

Raven Symbolism

If you’re looking for raven symbolism pertaining to ill omen, death or other gruesome turns of thought, look elsewhere. There are plenty sources to feed macabre minds, and malign the raven.

It’s not that I’m a big advocate of raven energy, and even if I were, it wouldn’t matter because the raven needs no champion. Content to move about its bizarre ways in solo-mode, the raven could care less if I’m pro or con for its symbolic status.

I just think the raven has more to offer than uneducated conjecture and superstition (most of which has only cropped up over the last few centuries).

A lot of negative raven symbolism comes about from their appearance on battlefields...

Elephant Meanings and Symbolic Thoughts about the Elephant

Symbolic elephant meaning deals primarily with strength, honor, stability and patience, among other attributes.

To the Hindu way of thought, the elephant is found in the form of Ganesha who is the god of luck, fortune, protection and is a blessing upon all new projects. Ganesha in all his magnificently vibrant elephant glory, is intent on bulldozing obstacles on your behalf (funnily, male elephants are termed “bulls”).

Sword symbolism…

Exploring sword symbolism…

As an alchemical symbol the sword is a symbol of purification. Here we experience the metaphorical sword cleanly piercing the spiritual soul of man. This symbolic action sacrifices physical bondage to release a path to ethereal (enlightened) freedom.

In Buddhism the sword symbolism deals with discrimination of thought. In this light, swords cut away ignorance.

As a Celtic symbol, the sword is reputed to be associated with Nuada, the first king of Tuatha Dé Danann. In fact, Nuada’s great sword is considered one of the four treasures (sword, stone, spear, cauldron). Nuada was associated with the supernatural forces of the underwater realm. Today, archeology reveals many ancient Celtic swords found under water...

Alcjomie Spirituala

Cine a format viciul acesta?… Dumneata...

Elemental Alchemy Symbols

At the most basic level, elemental alchemy symbols represent the raw self; having the capacity of being transmuted into a higher, incorruptible self.

This page investigates alchemy element symbols and their philosophical meanings.

The realm of alchemy is filled with hidden and double meanings. Just as each element has a physical representation, so too does it have a philosophical meaning in the alchemical school of thought.

It should be noted that the ancient founders of alchemy were avidly loyal to their craft. So much so, that many of the surviving reference material is quite obscure. Alchemists shrouded much of their craft to assure the seeker is determined and devoted to learning...
